Legacy Research Group is searching for an Investment Director to join our already stellar team.

You’ve spent your career learning everything there is to know about the markets… building and developing analysts… coming up with unique investment ideas… and now you’re itching to make the next move in your already accomplished career.

Who You Are – The “Legacy Way”

Does this describe you?

  • You’re “intrapreneurial.” You’re independent, driven, marketing-focused, and not a stuffy corporate type.
  • You have grit. You’re tenacious, adaptable, and resourceful. You can handle a heavy workload. Despite often being overloaded, you don’t break. You find a way.
  • You have a tremendous thirst for knowledge. You’re intensely curious, and you can teach yourself what you need to know to get the job done.
  • You love big ideas. You’re willing to innovate and try new things that haven’t been imagined yet.
  • You set a high bar. You demand excellent results from yourself and the people around you.
  • “DBS.” You’re honest, even-keeled, and easy to work with. (Ask us what “DBS” stands for when we meet with you.)

What You’re Good At…

  • You’re a top-notch investor with years of experience. You can show us a track record of spotting profitable trades. Just as important, you have no trouble explaining the setups to ordinary investors who aren’t versed in detailed equity analysis.
  • You’re a voracious consumer of information. You have a genuine passion for investing and writing. You’re intensely curious. And you live and breathe the world’s markets.
  • You’re an expert at reading balance sheets, parsing footnotes, and valuing companies. You’re overflowing with investment and trading ideas. You can analyze assets from macro, technical, fundamental, and sentiment perspectives.
  • You’re a good thinker, a good speaker, and a good writer. You’re also a great storyteller. You can be boring in person (it’s OK; we’re all human). But you’re never boring in print.
  • You’re a leader. You have years of experience leading and training juniors. You know how to delegate, oversee, and prioritize a vast number of moving projects.
  • You’re energetic and ambitious. You have boundless energy. You’re ready to improvise, adapt, and overcome.

The Job We Need Done…

We’re looking for an experienced Investment Director to help hire, oversee, and train the “next generation” of stellar newsletter writers…

… To “be the master” of market knowledge, helping us interpret and analyze market and global events and translate them through our services…

… To read, think about, and deliver big investment ideas to the team and our readership…

… To work with our newsletter gurus, know their ideas inside and out, and help them translate their ideas into promotional material…

… To help us create brand-new front-end and back-end services that are exciting to the current market…

… To be an incessant force of “incremental improvement” of our current products and work quality, all while managing tight deadlines and stress…

… To create research reports, courses, and articles for existing and future services…

If this sounds attractive – and you meet the criteria above – we’d love to hear from you.

Compensation will depend on your level of experience. But the typical investment director commands a six-figure salary and a very generous discretionary bonus.

We’ll need you to be based in Delray Beach, Florida, where our head office and team is located. (USA Today once called it the most fun small town in America.)

What to Do Now…

Write a letter telling us about yourself. We’d like to see what you’ve been up to. We don’t care much what school you went to. We do care what you’ve learned doing whatever it is you’ve been doing. We appreciate odd jobs, but we also love taking in Wall Street refugees.

Send us an idea. Tell us about a unique investment opportunity – preferably something small-cap or micro-cap. Explain the fundamentals. But don’t just show us a bunch of charts. Tell us how and why you picked this one stock from the thousands out there. (Yes, we are looking at your writing, too.)

Prepare for travel and conversation. If you have what we’re looking for, we’ll fly you to Delray Beach for a full day or two of interviews. If we still like each other after that, we’ll talk about the next steps.

Get in touch at [email protected]. Put “Investment Director” in the subject line. That’s your first test.
